Exploring
What is an Explorer?
A police explorer is a young man or woman between the ages of 14 to 21 years old that commit time and effort towards their community. Explorers learn about all aspects of law enforcement, such as tactics, investigations, radio codes, and more. Police Explorers provide thousands of hours of community service a year for the community. Many previous Newport Beach Police Explorers have gone on to be F.B.I. agents, Police Chiefs, Captains, and Lieutenants; as well as sworn personnel in various law enforcement agencies.
